Material first
We begin with the leather itself—its weight, finish, condition, and the way it has aged in use.
About the workshop
Medford Leather Stitching is a small workshop for precise repairs and handmade leather goods. After looking around Boston and seeing a real need for dedicated leather stitching and repair, we built a place where well-made leather can earn its second, third, or twentieth chapter.
151 Mystic Ave, Suite 1, Medford, MA 02155 · walk-in workshopWhere music meets the bench
The workshop grew from a close connection to local musicians and the guitar-store world, where a strap is more than an accessory. It is the piece that carries an instrument through rehearsals, stages, travel, and the miles between.
That same attention travels into every repair. Whether it is a bag handle, a jacket seam, or a worn wallet, we look at how the piece moves with you before deciding how to rebuild it.
The craft
Every repair and handmade piece is approached with the same measured process: inspect the construction, choose a durable path forward, then finish the details that make leather feel right in the hand.
Material standards
We begin with the leather itself—its weight, finish, condition, and the way it has aged in use.
Stitching, edge work, reinforcement, and hardware are chosen for how the item needs to perform after it leaves the bench.
We will tell you what is practical, what is possible, and when a repair will make the most sense for the piece.
Stop by the Medford workshop to discuss a repair, a strap, or a handmade piece built for your everyday.
